Payroll giving is a voluntary scheme for both employers and employees. Employees make donations directly from their pay packets and receive immediate tax credits via PAYE.

EDS is a registered charity with the New Zealand Charities Commission and is an approved Donee Organisation with the IRD. Therefore, you are able to donate to EDS via payroll giving.

This is great way to support us – it’s convenient, easy and you get your tax credit back straight away. Payroll giving is becoming a big part of how New Zealanders support New Zealand charities.

What is payroll giving?

Payroll giving is a voluntary scheme for both employers and employees. Employees make donations directly from their pay packets and receive immediate tax credits via PAYE.

With payroll giving you get an immediate tax rebate for one third of your donation. So for every $15 you donate to us through payroll giving, you’ll only see $10 go out of your pay.

What do I need to do?

First…. check with your employer that their system will allow payroll giving.

Note that only employers who electronically file their employer monthly schedule and deduction form can offer payroll giving to their employees. So check with your employer to see if you can benefit from this simple, straightforward way to help.

Second…. download the attached form and give it to your employer Payroll Giving Form

Third…. if you would like to, sign up to our database to receive regular news from us via email, click here
