EDS runs two of the most preeminent environmental conferences in the country. We also hold smaller regional events throughout the year.

We have a well-established reputation for delivering highly topical and thought-provoking conferences that act as a catalyst, delivering valuable insights, momentum for change, and networking opportunities for attendees and sponsors.

We draw diverse participants together to galvanise progress towards solving Aotearoa New Zealand’s biggest environmental problems.

EDS 2027 Annual Environmental Conference

2-3 June 2027 - Te Pae, Ōtautahi Christchurch

The theme for our 2027 environmental summit is Finding common ground: Durable outcomes for nature, people and place. At the summit, we will identify practical pathways to recovery. We will seek areas of agreement across political and sectoral divides, drawing on South Island examples with nationwide relevance. We’re looking forward to heading back to Ōtautahi Christchurch for our 2027 conference. Diarise 2 – 3 June 2027 and watch out for programme updates on the conference website.
